Over Spring Break we went to Provo and saw Heather play Wally Ball and Basketball. We ate dinner at the Brick Oven with Brandon, Lindsay , and Heather. The next night we saw the Civil War starring Merrill Osmond. Then we went to Lewiston. It was great fun to go ice skating there.

January Fun
Alan celebrated his 59th birthday with some of his granchildren and children. He isn't sure why we have a red Toyota Solara convertible in the garage, but I think it looks like we could enjoy it given a little bit of good weather. Joelle says she doesn't need good weather to enjoy the convertible she just likes to sit in it.
Heather's Birthday celebration!!!
After visiting the Rexburg temple we celebrated Heather's birthday. Visiting the temple open house was a memorable experience. It opened up a great dialog for Joelle and I to discuss the temple. Best of all Wyatt loved the temple. He said temple at least a millon times. From the time we could see the temple until the time we were driving away.

At the Cassia County Fair
I have had fun showing my heifer, Samantha and getting my ribbons and trophy. I won Reserve Champion and was second in Fitting and showing in my class. As you can see in the picture with Dad helping me, I have had some struggles. It was hard to keep Samanth set up and keeping her head up. I got stepped on several times and head butted, but it was all worth it.

Fun Summer Poem
Bed in Summer
by Robert Louis Stevenson
In winter I get up at night
And dress by yellow candle-light.
In summer quite the other way,
I have to go to bed by day.
I have to go to bed and see
The birds still hopping on the tree,
Or hear the grown-up people's feet
Still going past me in the street.
And does it not seem hard to you,
When all the sky is clear and blue,
And I should like so much to play,
To have to go to bed by day?

Summer fun
Kaitlyn and Rachel have been visiting since Thursday. We have all had a great time. Doing crafts, cooking and playing. Tonight Kaitlyn lost her 5th tooth and is counting on the tooth fairy finding her at our house. Joelle wanted to lose something so she took out her posts and is going to wear regular ear rings. Rachel has lost her frown and is all smiles.

Avid reader
4th grade Idaho History
To culminate Idaho history studies the 4th grade has a rendevous. The children bring things they have made to trade and they have a dutch oven lunch in the park. Joelle dressed up for the occasion. She took her personal cookbooks to trade and bean bags that she had made. Heather had made some of her famous cookies that she also took, but melted chocolate chip cookies in a plastic sandwich bag didn't make for a great trade.
