Cassia County Fair

Joelle went to the Fair today and did a great job showing her heifer. In showmanship she placed first in her class and got a trophy. Then in the overall showmanship she got third. Her heifer "Dessert" was the Grand Champion in quality and Joelle got an awesome belt buckle.

Last Friday, 08-08-08 Brandon and Lindsay were married in the Mesa Temple. It was a beautiful sealing and we had a great time together.

Twin Falls Temple Open House

Holly and her kids and Grandma Kay came up to see the Twin Falls Temple. It is so beautiful and we are so excited to have a temple so close.

Grandchild #20!

On July 23rd our 20th grandchild was born. It just so happens that it is 10 years from the day that our oldest grandchild was born. Twenty grandkids in 10 years!

Our newest addition is Lauren Elizabeth...

Of course she already loves her aunts!

Joelle Can Wakeboard!

Last Saturday Joelle decided to try wake boarding. With the help of our friend Whitney Anderson, she got up on her second try! She is pretty proud of getting up so fast and at such a young age. Way to go Joelle!

Summer means...Boating and Fishing

Last week we got out on the river for the first time. Joelle is loving her new kneeboard and is getting really good at going in and out of the wake.

Wyatt and Lydia stayed at our house for a few days. While they were hear they got to go out in the boat and go fishing with Grandpa. Wyatt was so excited that they caught a fish and Lydia really liked eating it! After she got home she told her mom, "Did you know you can get meat from a fish?"

Happy Birthday!!!

Joelle had a great birthday. Sunday Robbie made Trifle. Monday Lydia and Wyatt escorted her to McKees to see the petting zoo. Joelle bought some cool sun glasses with her birthday money and we got Lydia some too. then we went to China City. Tuesday Joelle got a kneeboard with a hook. Boating season is just around the corner.

Let the Fishing Begin

The Declo 5th grade had a fishing field trip. They toured the Hagerman State Fish Hatcherie and then were able to fish in some ponds that had just been stocked with fish. Joelle, with the help of Alan, caught 2 fish , they were nice trout but we gave them away to some of our neighbors who had not been so lucky.

Who's that with a Falshy red car?

Grandma Roberts really enjoyed cruising Pocatello with the top down. She wanted a picture to show all of her friends.

4-H Heifer

May 3 was the day Joelle had to weigh in her dairy heifer. The fair will be Aug 11- 16. August will be a very busy month.

Conference Weekend

We enjoyed having Grandma Andersen, Gracie, and Carter here with us as we sustained our new prophet, President Monson in the Saturday morning Solemn Assembly. Tyler, Trey and Ben joined us for some of the afternoon session. It is reassuring that the Lord will continue to lead and guide the church through a living prophet that has been well prepared and is worthy.
Just for the record Robbie came in during the Priesthood session to help us play Mexican Train, all 13 rounds. On Sunday we played another 13 rounds. It is amazing that Kay never tires of Mexican Train.

Easter Egg Hunt

Heather and two friends, and Brandon and Lindsay were here for our Easter Egg hunt. It was planned for Joelle , but I think the older children had the most fun.

Oreo has a great life

Joelle took these great pictures of Oreo enjoying life.

Hannah was a great skater. As you can see Trevor enjoyed the video game, without quarters, but he did get out on the ice a couple of times.

Ice Skating for Spring Break

Over Spring Break we went to Provo and saw Heather play Wally Ball and Basketball. We ate dinner at the Brick Oven with Brandon, Lindsay , and Heather. The next night we saw the Civil War starring Merrill Osmond. Then we went to Lewiston. It was great fun to go ice skating there.

Skiing in 2008

This year I got to go skiing three times. The first with my school and then Caroline took Abbey, Gracie, my friend Aubrey and me. A couple of weeks ago I got to go with Aubrey and her brother. I love skiing!! Pomerelle is the greatest.
